It’s just a simple statistic really, a larger proportion of the population play and/or watch rugby in Wales than in most other places. Perhaps it’s something about people working together as a team. Perhaps it’s the violence of the game. Who can say? Whatever is the reason for rugby’s popularity in Wales, it’s part of the culture and it’s not going to change anytime soon.
